The 18th Advanced Spinal Course, marking the 25th Dr. Zileli advanced spine surgery course held in İzmir, will take place from November 20–22, 2026, at Swissôtel Büyük Efes in central İzmir, Türkiye.

First organized in 1997, the course has a history spanning more than a quarter of a century. It brings together specialists seeking to refine their skills, expand their knowledge, and gain further experience in spinal surgery.

Who Can Attend?

The Advanced Spinal Course is designed for specialists interested in developing their expertise in spinal surgery. Senior residents who have completed their fourth year of training are also eligible to attend and will benefit from discounted registration fees.

As in previous editions, the organizers do not plan to impose a strict limit on the number of participants.

A Special 25th Edition

To celebrate the 25th spinal course in İzmir, the 2026 program will include special surprise events alongside its educational and professional activities.

The organizers look forward to welcoming spinal surgery specialists and senior residents to İzmir for this milestone edition.

About the ISPN Pediatric Neurosurgery Education Course

The International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) welcomes participants to its ongoing pediatric neurosurgery webinar series. These sessions are held on the last Friday of every month and provide regular educational content for medical students, residents, trainees, pediatric neurosurgeons, and healthcare professionals interested in pediatric neurosurgery.

After two successful years of webinars, ISPN is updating the format to offer broader and more practical learning. The new structure will include different pediatric neurosurgery topics, varied teaching formats, more case-based discussions, less didactic teaching, controversial topics, and study design sessions.

Background of the Webinar Series

In 2022, the ISPN Education Committee launched this webinar series in collaboration with the World Federation of Neurological Societies (WFNS), the WFNS Education and Training Committee, the World Congress of Neurosurgery for Medical Students and Medical Residents (WCNMSMR), and the Pediatric Neurosurgery Committee of the WFNS.

The series was developed to support medical students, residents, and trainees who are interested in pediatric neurosurgery. It provides essential knowledge, practical insights, and structured educational content from international experts.
