13th INERF-ASEAN Fukushima Skull Base Cadaveric Workshop 2026
Bangkok – Thailand
30 November – 2 December 2026
The Fukushima Skull Base Cadaveric Workshop 2026 13th INERF-ASEAN Fukushima’s Skull Base Hands-on Cadaveric Dissection Workshop will take place from November 30 to December 2, 2026, at the Chulalongkorn Surgical Training Center in Bangkok, Thailand.
This intensive skull base surgery course is organized by the Division of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, in collaboration with the International Neurosurgery Education & Research Foundation (INERF).
Designed for neurosurgeons, fellows, and residents, the workshop combines focused lectures with detailed hands-on cadaveric dissection. Participants will receive practical training in advanced skull base surgical anatomy and complex operative approaches.
Fukushima Skull Base Cadaveric Workshop 2026
The workshop follows the educational principles associated with advanced skull base dissection and provides participants with an opportunity to study complex anatomical regions through structured, step-by-step laboratory sessions.
A major feature of the course is the use of soft-injected cadaveric specimens, with one specimen provided for every two participants. This format allows participants to perform detailed dissections while receiving guidance from experienced international skull base faculty.
Workshop Topics and Surgical Approaches
The scientific and practical program will focus on several advanced areas of skull base surgery, including:
- Cavernous sinus surgery
- Paraclinoid aneurysm surgery
- Anterior infratemporal fossa approaches
- Combined petrosal approaches
- ELITE approach
- Jugular foramen tumor surgery
Lectures will be integrated with step-by-step cadaveric dissections to connect anatomical knowledge with operative technique.
Course Co-Directors
The course will be co-directed by:
- Dr. Udom Bawornvaraporn
- Asst. Prof. Surachai Khaoroptham
