Over the last two decades, appreciation for white matter has grown significantly. As a result, fiber microdissection has gained more attention. Safe navigation through the brain’s narrow corridors requires a thorough understanding of white matter’s three-dimensional structure.

In this course, we teach the basics of fiber microdissection, helping participants grasp the brain’s complex anatomy. By the end, you’ll not only follow the intricate details but also appreciate how white matter tracts connect.

The Istanbul Yaşargil Microneurosurgery Course this year comes in two parts. While designed for neurosurgeons, it also welcomes all neuroscientists. Each participant will have a personal lab station, complete with surgical tools and a microscope, ensuring a comfortable and immersive experience.

Throughout the course, world-renowned faculty will deliver lectures, enhancing the learning process. Also, this year, we are honored to host two distinguished guests: Professor Ali Krisht and Professor Mustafa K. Başkaya.
