Welcome to Laval Skull Base Hands-on Course, an annual event open to Neurosurgeons, ENT and senior residents in both specialties.

During this 3-days course, participants will learn via formal lectures and cadaveric hands-on dissections from both local and renowned international invited faculty.

The program encompasses the main anterolateral skull base approaches ( FTOZ, anterior petrosal, etc), a full day on expended endoscopic endonasal approaches and half a day on endoscopic transorbital approaches.

A unique endonasal CSF leak reconstruction model will also be available for participants to try during the endoscopic endonasal day.

Endoscopic & Open Surgical Approaches for Craniosynostosis: Hands-On Course

Surgery to repair craniosynostosis — including cranial vault remodeling, fronto-orbital advancement (FOA), and endoscopic suturectomy — requires practical experience with complex anatomy and tools.

The rarity of the condition and infrequent exposure during residency, compounded by a lack of cadaveric teaching tools, limits extraoperative training.

This symposium combines didactic lectures with a hands-on experience using state-of-the-art 3D-printed models created from scans of actual patients, creating a unique and innovative opportunity for neurosurgeons and plastic surgeons to gain valuable experience practicing open and endoscopic procedures.

Attendees will also be instructed in virtual surgical planning (VSP), which allows visualization of patient anatomy and pathology as well as the establishment of reference points prior to surgery.

Welcome to the joint meeting of 7th Istanbul Spine Masters &14th ISMISS Turkey 2023, which will be held at the Memorial Bahçelievler Hospital in Istanbul in October 19-22, 2023. As a part of spine surgery courses in 2023.

Traditionally, while the ISMISS meetings cover the latest advancements on minimal invasive techniques and spinal endoscopy; the Istanbul Spine Masters meetings cover whole spectrum of spine surgery in an “advanced course” format in a more interactive/didactic way.
